nameless dread
“nameless dread” is diewiththemostlikes first long form generative project, minted with glitch gallery on art blocks. it was the final output from the glitch gallery residency program “30 days in marfa,” in which die spent 30 days in marfa, texas, painting and transforming fully into a marfa rat.
heavily inspired by a decade of producing digital waste no one wanted or asked for. the color palettes are muted as colleagues lose vibrancy and elasticity in a state of absent production. sparse paint strokes function as bandages desperately attempting to hold skin together that seeks no bandage and is unaware of the wounds it carries. lines are what remains. waiting patiently to be paved over. under the illusion of happiness.
669 hand illustrated portraits represents a several hundred hour burden that provides a level of unblemished human suffering unreplicable by machine.
incredible project exploration tool by @lifeofc
it is a special project because it was the last project launched before die quit the job that inspired the project itself.
